Musings on machine knitting, the art of knitting, and the mechanics of knitting. Maybe once in awhile I'll talk about my kids, but I'll warn you first, so that you can skip that part. My machines: Brother 930 with 850 ribber and garter carriage (my main machine), Studio 155 with SR 155 ribber (my favorite), and Brother 864 punchcard (my very first machine. But now it is stored as a backup). June 2007: Now I'm an empty-nester (although now that the youngest has graduated college, he's informed me he is moving back home, so maybe not...but it was fun while it lasted) and a doctoral student in education. I am also thinking about taking up HANDKNITTING because machines take up too much space and too much time to set up and take down. There. I've said it. (Waiting for the lightning to strike)

Thank you, Sonja! I've worn all of the pieces....I just tuck the little strings inside..... The thing is, I get so bogged down when it comes to finishing....I haven't finished the shell for the brown suit, and now I'm starting to slow down with the green cardigan because that means I have to crochet the edges, which you know I hate doing. Yes, we need to remember why we bought our machines: to make clothes for OURSELVES!!!! If you need patterns, let me know....I have some really good, easy, quick ones........
